Location: Church of St. Albert the Great, 2836 33rd Avenue South

St. Albert’s namesake stands as a statue at corner of 29th Avenue and East 33rd Street. The church has recently reopened its main door for limited worship, after a months’-long closure for the COVID-19 pandemic. The church was built in the Art Deco style and dedicated in 1948, after the congregation had been operating since 1935. Its attached school closed in 1993, and the school building is now rented to Bdote Learning Center, a K-8 school with a Native language and cultural orientation.
