Cub Construction

Location: 46th & Hiawatha

Our Longfellow neighborhood is home to two McDonald’s, two Wallgreens, two Dairy Queens, and soon a second Cub Foods will open next to the Holiday Station.

The groundwork has begun on the construction of a new urban concept Cub grocery store at E. 46th Street and Hiawatha Avenue. It will be about half the size of the largest Cub stores. Opening next Spring, it will feature a large deli area, a popcorn shop, a produce section modeled after a farmers market, an enhanced floral gift space, and a pharmacy. It will have outdoor and indoor seating at the Refresh cafe/bar where customers can get coffee, ice cream, or a warm cookie in the store or the walk-up window outside.
