AmeriVespa?

Signage on a glass storefront door: Open Every Day Noon to Six with a placard reading Closed above it, a colorful poster of a scooter for AMERIVESPA

Location: Time Bomb Vintage, 3543 East Lake Street

Saw this poster for the big national AmeriVespa Scooter Rally scheduled in June sponsored by the Twin Cities Scooter Collective, here in the “Land of 10K Scoots.” Though I haven’t scooted for some years, I first rode a Vespa P200E back in the ’90s as a primary vehicle. Nowadays, I hanker for a pedal-assist bicycle, as all things go electric moving towards a safer future climate, and as we slow down the pace focusing on essentials, say pedestrian and slower forms of travel—like Scooting…

AmeriVespa, unfortunately, may be rescheduled depending upon the pandemic, and the Vespa Club of America (VCOA) says:

In the mean time please take all necessary precautions to keep yourself from becoming ill. Please follow the guidelines given by medical professionals. Stay safe, ride safe, wash your hands and cough and sneeze into your VCOA neck scarf and wash it regularly.
