Save Our Stages & Screens

Riverview Theater celebrates the Save Our Stages bill passed with the new federal COVID relief package, thanking Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar for her support of movie theaters and many other types of cultural venues. Senator Klobuchar co-authored the bill authorizing the Small Business Administration (SBA) to make grants to eligible live venue operators, producers, promoters, or talent representatives to address the economic effects of the COVID-19. Along with Klobuchar’s work in Congress, First Avenue owner and showrunner Dayna Frank rallied thousands of music venues and their fans to support the #SaveOurStages movement as board president of the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA).

Minnesota is lucky and should be proud of their work helping us move on through these hard times. See the following news coverage for more.
