Location: Brackett Field Park, 2728 South 39th Avenue
I remember as a child, the neighborhood parents would round up all the kids and drive us over to what we called “Rocket Park.” We’d spend the afternoon climbing in the rocket (you could do that back then) and playing in the wading pool. It was a perfect way to spend a summer day! I’m happy that the rocket is still there, and that I get to drive past it every day. 🙂
