LoLa artist Anita White shows her latest Sleep Journal entry, using her artwork to follow along with a local newspaper series on sleep. Anita sketches and paints most days, and on Sunday afternoons she listens to opera with her cats Ocean and Gypsy, while working and perusing her various art projects.

In addition to White’s artworks on paper, silk, and other media, she’s a prolific illustrator who’s created works for the Longfellow Business Association, Hennepin Healthcare, and other groups. Here’s a profile of a recent project:

The League of Longfellow Artists (LoLa) is a local nonprofit group that organizes the annual LoLa Art Crawl, the Biggest Little Neighborhood Art Crawl in Minneapolis, along with other events.
