Location: Acme Foundry, 3161 Hiawatha Avenue
Crossing the highway with another local shopper, I see the Acme Foundry site is available for new ownership. Founded in 1906 and located in Longfellow since 1931, the foundry has gone through many upgrades to keep up with pollution control standards and technical modernization over the decades. From casting thousands of metal designs from one ounce to 400 pounds for so many years…what’s next here?
