Historic St. James Church

St. James African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church reflects the heritage of the first African American congregation formed in Minneapolis and Minnesota. Completed in 1959 the building was designed in a vernacular style with mid-century modern influences by architect Irwin H. Kilstofte. It was designated a local historic landmark in 2018.
