Initially opened in 1918, Longfellow Community School served Longfellow’s elementary-aged students until 2010. The school reopened in 2011 as Longfellow High School, an alternative school program that serves pregnant and parenting teens and their children. The school’s vision is that every teen parent will be prepared for post-secondary education and employment, and that every child will be ready for kindergarten.
