Thanks for finally talking about >Dankos Dairy: A Bit of Vintage Signage in Our Neighborhood | Longfellow365 <Loved it!
Grandparents lived across the street, they would give us a nickel to go buy candy at Danko’s
I grew up a block and a half down on 29th ave back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Had many fond memories of Dankos.
My Dad would give me and my brother 50 cents each…twice a week. I’d always get a small bag of old Dutch chips, pack of topps baseball cards and a pack of candy cigarettes. I’m almost 40 years old but whenever I get a chance and in the old neighborhood I make it a point to drive by Dankos.
