Rahel Tassew performs a traditional coffee ceremony at Selam’s Coffee. Ethiopia’s coffee ceremony is an integral part of their social and cultural life. An invitation to attend a coffee ceremony is considered a sign of respect or a mark of friendship and an act of true Ethiopian hospitality. The traditional ceremony can last several hours.
