One of the workers said he felt like he was working on a fence like the one in the movie Jurassic Park. While this isn’t a massive electrified fence to contain dinosaurs, the modern look of this substation does bring a touch of science fiction to the greater Longfellow neighborhood. Workers were installing anodized aluminum panels up on the new Xcel substation near Hiawatha & 28th St.
