Tiny Diner Farmstand

08252015DAY

Mary Stade, a Longfellow resident and Tiny Diner’s Farm Lead, assists neighbors at the Tiny Diner’s weekly pop-up Farmstand at the Farmhouse located at 3957 42nd Ave S. This stand is open every Tuesday from 4-7pm through September and features a wide variety of produce harvested from their on-site garden. This week’s produce included flowers, several varieties of cucumber, grapes, eggplant, greens, pole beans, and herbs, among other things. The farmstand is a great way for the Farmhouse to interact with neighbors, educate the community about gardening, and get great produce in people’s homes.

The Tiny Diner Farmhouse also has open hours for the community and a variety of classes, including a class called “Insects We Like” on Saturday, August 29th, from 12-1pm. For more information on classes or the Longfellow farm, visit tinydinerfarm.wordpress.com.
